Resume

Objective:

To secure work as a graphic designer. I am seeking work opportunities that will allow me to use my creative abilities and production skills to create effective graphic design.
I am looking for full time, part time, or contract work.

Experience:

I have spent the last 4 years working as a freelance Graphic Designer. During this time I have had numerous clients from diverse industries. The vast array of projects I have designed and implemented include, but are not limited to, interpretive signs, brochures, calendars, menus, web sites, interactive media, books and brand development.

The bulk of my work has been from contracts with Heritage Design. HD is an enterprise team in the USDA Forest Service which specializes in the development of sustainable tourism and heritage interpretation.

Software:

I am proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite
on a Macintosh system.

Teamwork:

Most jobs require at least a modicum of teamwork; however, I believe my workforce experience has provided me with an exemplary understanding of the concept.

I worked effectively with Heritage Design, a company where all of the team members work remotely via the internet. While this operational model has obvious advantages it also requires diligently effective communication.

As an intern at Klündt | Hosmer Design I was exposed to many of the typical teamwork scenarios that occur in a design studio such as brainstorming sessions, job allocation, problem solving, and general workflow procedures.

I worked at River City Bikes in Portland, Oregon, as a bicycle repair technician. The shop was large and regularly had a high volume of repairs and new builds. Effective teamwork was imperative and consisted of being aware of what needed attention first, prioritizing on a minute-by-minute basis.

As a volunteer youth counselor at the Cairo American College, an American K-12 school in Cairo Egypt, my team was responsible for various counseling duties, as well as running a youth center which served as after school recreation for the local teenagers.
